Close your eyes...don't look behind (Lyrics) Songwriter: "myself" (7/26/2011)
Look up in the sky and close your eyes,
close your eyes and don't look behind...
Look up in the sky and close your eyes,
close your eyes and don't look behind...
Because I'm going to try, try, and we're going to fly,
Because I'm going to try, try, and we're going to fly...
Don't worry, oh my, my, we're going to fight,
Don't worry, oh my, my, we're going to survive...
Surviiiii.......iiiive, Surviiiii.......iiiive,
Surviiiii.......iiiive, Surviiiii.......iiiive...
Look up in the sky and close your eyes,
close your eyes and don't look behind...
Look up in the sky and close your eyes,
close your eyes and don't look behind...
I want you to know that I'm here for you,
I want you to feel no fear...
You have all of us that are here for you,
To catch you if you fall...
So stand up tall and take the world and
Surviiiii.......iiiive, Surviiiii.......iiiive,
Surviiiii.......iiiive, Surviiiii.......iiiive...
Look up in the sky and close your eyes,
close your eyes and don't look behind...
Look up in the sky and close your eyes,
close your eyes and don't look behind...

Thank you God.
Thank you for the good, thank you for my experiences, and thank you for everything in my life.
I feel cherished, I feel blessed. I am thankful, blessed and fulfilled.
I know that I will see my family soon and that has made me so excited and happy - thanks to my wonderful husband that has made this possible.
I love you, I love life, I love my family and my friends alike.
Sometimes I feel up, sometimes I feel down. When I'm down, I come back here to read about my ups, my words of positivity and motivation. Its when I come and read here when I remember that this is me, the real me, the "up" me. It feels good to write.
~
When I think of my family, I think of a world full of love. It feels like an overwhelming bubble of wholeness, comfort, and love. When I'm with them, I'm in that 'bubble'. We all make it full and complete.
I hope that everyone has this image and feeling of their family, it's a healthy, necessary for making me the person that I am.

Getting to Know Yourself
I know myself better than I thought. For a psych class that I'm taking now, we were required to take a personality test (which I've done before). It's been a few years so I couldn't remember my type. Knowing this information can help lead you through your path in life; whether it be for career decision or being a better "you".
I'm an Idealist, a Teacher. This test is very accurate and is reputable. I agree with my type description 100%.
Directly from My Personality test:
Type: ENFJ
All Idealists seek to have a life of meaning, to help themselves and others grow to be the best that they can be. They do not want to be a copycat of someone else, but want to be seen as a unique and valuable individual.
People want to have a life that gives them a sense of personal satisfaction.
"It's very important to me to really connect with my students. I need to feel that I am making a difference in their lives."
Best Career Choice:
Science, Counseling, Psychology, Education, Management, Politics, Computer Programming, Physician (Health Care).

Be who you want to be and be who you are
Be who you want to be and be who you are,
Don't let anyone change you,
Don't you be sorry -
Don't worry about Tom, Dick, and Harry.
Sometimes in your life, ties are cut.
Maybe it's for a reason and you just have to let them go.
You don't need it, it doesn't mean anything, and it doesn't change you.
It's for the better and will continue to make you better at who you are.
I don't belong where I'm at right now in this given place where I'm writing this from.
It's lifeless, it's negative, it's so not who I am.
I need more purpose, more activity, more positivity in the atmosphere.
Where's the yellow brick road?
I know that I'm close and it's only a matter of time.
So I will be the best that I can for now and keep striving for what I'm meant for.
I will get there soon, it will be wonderful, and it will be "me"!

Hopeful, Happy, Loved, Cherished, Content
I'm an optimist, I believe that you can try to cure miserable people with kindness
I believe in hope
I believe in love
I believe that you on someone else can change for the better
I believe that people are generally good
I believe that there's something bigger and better out there always
I believe that there's a plan for everyone
I believe that if you try hard enough you will succeed
I believe that if you put your mind to something, you can do it!
I believe that you have people around you that love and support you
I believe that everyone deserves and needs someone
...dreams have meaning
...you can help shape your future
...your voice matters
All with the grace and guidance of Love.
I wish I had the chance to experience living in another state or even another country to visit whenever I want to get away and relax.
I can go on wishing a lot of things, but may God provide what is needed first and foremost -
The rest will fall into place with hard work and dedication.

War, Peace
The war and the hate - is it all a mistake?
Do they see what they're doing and hear what they're saying?
Don't they know that they're doing more damage than good
Communication is the key, it's all power - that's misunderstood
Hold hands, unite as one, walk to the sun
Do it for your planet, your daughter and your son
This has all just begun and it's not ending soon
What is it about authority, when you're the minority
Countries with dictatorship and still so hungry
Lets establish a relationship and council the unruly
Look around you; what they really want to say is
They're hurting for a leader that will save the day.
What else can we do, no more war - no more fears,
No more pain, no unnecessary deaths, no more tears,
Cry no more tears, cry no more tears.
You have to listen, you have to unite,
Get this world together and lets stop the fight.

7 years ago you asked me a question and we made a promise that will last forever.
Today is just like any other day because I don't love you any more or any less than before.
My love for you will always be limitless and infinite.
To the moon and back babe, now, forever, and always.
You are the one that was made for me and I was created solely for you.
There's no comparison for the happiness that you bring me each and every day, hour, minute, second that we are together.
You are my husband, my best-friend, my partner for life...
7 years engaged,
(almost) 6 years married,
8 wonderful years together!!

Wow! That made my day!
So my mom has a picture of me and Mason on her desktop computer and a colleague passes by stating that I look like I could be her twin. She then asked about my age and when I mom told her she was astonished and stated that I look like I could be 18 years old! Wooohooo! Then two weeks ago, Mason's foster parents thought Vic and I were about 22. Ok so my genes are good.
Here's a good one; we actually starting "tucking in" Mason at night and he stays all through the morning. We find him in the morning still al bundled up in his blanket. It's adorable.
Poetry from my Soul
Poetry from my Soul
Sometimes I get short, sad, upset...
I'm sorry.
I sometimes feel like I'm drowning and I can't get to the top of the river that's as high as a mountain
I don't like feeling restrained, held by these gravitational grips
I know that I will overcome it and soar past the surface
and that it's just a matter of time
I don't want to rush time either
Time should go as its meant to
The environment will change for the better
and the apparatus needed to re-surface will become available
...
I'm now on the surface breathing the fresh air
Hoping for the day when I'll soar up through the sky
Working, studying,
Preparing for my purposes, my goals in life.
...
I'm now ready,
In the sky soaring through all kinds of skies
Making it through in one piece, in several pieces bonded together;
With my partner and several passengers all as one.
Content, Loved, Thankful, Motivated.

Non-Perfection Shapes Us Up
So I started working out yesterday, Dance Central - on the xbox kinnect, I did 6 songs. It was about a 30 minute workout. I really don't like going to the gym as much as I used to... this is an alternative method. I think I was getting bored of the gym, so the dancing games and zumba games is awesome. Well, I need to get back into shape with the spring and summer coming, time to shed my winter coat.
I'm feeling better today. Yesterday I was feeling negative vibes at work, but was able to get through it by constantly telling myself to keep that positivity going. Then my colleagues provided me with breakfast and cake in celebration of my birthday. I felt special. Then I was thinking about an incident where recently, I should have been celebrated, but instead it was like any other day ... I was feeling like the least important person in the room. I guess I should look at it from another perspective? That I got all these folks together in one room?
See I'm not Mrs. Perfect Positivity although I try to live up to it. I'll be Miss Positivity and keep working at it. No one is perfect and that's how it should be anyway, always. It would be an unbalanced scale if there wasn't any negativity. Negativity is what drives me to turn anything around with positivity. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be who I am today and this world would just all positive or all negative - and that wouldn't work at all.

My Day is Today
My day is today is what I said yesterday on my birthday. I spent it with my boys; Vic my husband and Mason, my Boston Terrier Rescue. The past week has been amazing since acquiring Mason. He came from an awesome foster home with North East Boston Terrier Rescue organization (NEBTR). We met him for the first time on January 22, 2011 in NJ. Within the first fifteen minutes we knew he was the one that we would 'rescue'. We've now had him for a full week as of January 29, 2011 - going on two weeks and he's been just amazing in every way. He's everything that we (hubby & I) wanted in a dog and more.
We had family come over on Saturday to meet Mason and celebrate my birthday early. We had a nice time :), thankfully. Mason was a good boy, although he just wanted to keep playing. On Sunday, Mason and I were both exhausted and just relaxed ALL DAY. It was lovely.
So far I'm on my way completing my goals for 2011; one is the wonderful gift of adopting a Boston Rescue, the second one is starting to take my prerequisites (2) for the nursing program. I will jumping on the other goals next!

Lots of Positivity
Changing Times
I've matured, I'm getting to know myself. As discussed with a friend today who is currently getting to know herself and her purpose too. We shared similar thoughts and goals in that respect. I look forward to discussing these soulful conversations as we both continue on our paths. Very intellectual. A lifetime friend.
I'm starting school this weekend, taking some prerequisites and I'm excited. Also coming this weekend..."Our Newest Member" (of our family) ... Three-and-a-half-year-old MASON. He is coming to live with us as of this Saturday, January 29th; being brought by his foster parents. It is a surprise to my family in NY as they come to meet him in 2 weeks. Most of them don't read this blog ... so they won't know! LOL This is a great feeling, it feels right and we're ready. What a fulfilling feeling. He's already housebroken and house-trained and knows a few commands!
You've Made My Day
First off, I just want to say that you're the type of person that really understands people and the best thing is that you're honest. This may be misunderstood by some if they perceive you the wrong way, but I "see you" and I like you. I'm glad I made you happy. The reaction I got from you was super positive - you made my day... well my week. I know I do good work, but that gratification when someone is so happy is just awesome. Just wanted you to know that. You're also the type of person that you can just open up to and share thoughts, secrets, goals, ideas. You are a great confidant and that is a value that not many have. You know how to respond, advise, etc. Another lifetime friend.
I Had a Dream
I had a dream in December 2010 while I was in Florida that I had a beautiful baby girl with thick, silky black hair and big brown beautiful eyes and long eyelashes. It felt so real that when I awoke I felt like I was missing her. The maternal instinct kicked in, so I know that when the time is right ... it will be right. The funny thing is that I just found out my cousin is pregnant and she found out in December 2010. I wonder if she really is having a girl. How sweet either way how we dream things like this and sometimes they really happen. :)

"The Guru in You"
Recently, I caught an episode of the Ellen Degeneres Show and the author to the book "The Guru in You" was on, Yogi Cameron. He talked about how one can start living happier and healthier in such simple ways...listening to your body and it's response to different moods, foods, etc. This is the kind of thing that interests me. One thing that caught my attention was when he mentioned that you should only eat when your hungry and feed your body something healthy. In the morning (he discussed) if you're not hungry - don't eat. He mentioned drinking a cup of hot water to warm up your body in the morning & organs before you jolt it with coffee or juice...to ease your body into fully awakening. I can totally understand this and see how this can work. The way your start your day shapes out how the rest of your day will be. Also telling yourself positive things and always seeing yourself in a positive light so that everything functions well within. He said if you see yourself negatively or say/think negative things about yourself this can cause your body to react; you may not feel well, you may feel sluggish. Basically, what I took from that show was; feed your body positive energy and healthy food and see & feel results. Once again, I agree!
My goals for this year:
1) Start Taking Science Courses towards a healthcare career and complete pre-requisites
2) Apply for the program in which I decide to take by December 2011
3) Look & feel healthier; lose at least 20 pounds this year
4) Pay the remainder of my credit cards off
5) Figure out job / school situation
6) Adopt a Boston Terrier Rescue
7) See family in Florida around mid- this year
God Bless- Positivity is Key.

Trying again...
So all is well. Just got back from my greatest gift of all; being with my family in FL. Thank you Lord for bringing us together. This really touched my heart. There will be more to tell as soon as I can get back here to write some more.
I think we're ready to try again, we're looking into adopting a rescued dog. We are looking for one that is already house broken and "potty trained". It's a good feeling. We're taking our time with the process to make sure things go well.
God Bless, Love you!
